Why Jabez?

SOME PEOPLE HAVE CALLED TO SAY THEY WILL NOT COME TO OUR CHURCH because of the name of the ministry-JABEZ INTERNATIONAL MIN INC. They forget that we are also known as Living Heroes Assembly. Let me say here that we are not here  to bear a name . But to tell you what God can do with you when you call on Him. The story of Jabez  is like the story of any black man, born into sorrows , pain , slavery ,curses and general poverty and penury. It is not of your own making, but you can influence a more positive destiny through God.

THE STORY OF JABEZ IS NOT ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS IN CHURCH but what God will do in your life when you call on him. It is not about what somebody or your parents or teachers are saying  about your past but what you are saying about what you want to be according to the divine plan and purpose of God.
If your name is not in line with what God plan for your life , you can change it to fall in line. God changed the name of Abram to Abraham.

THERE IS POWER IN A NAME. every name has character or alphabets that join to describe or give the total picture of  the individual or a thing. Satan is Evil, while Jesus is Good. The serpents is deadly while the dove is harmless. Jacob is a supplanter while Israel is one that has power with God.
Ben-oni is son of my sorrows while Benjamin is son of my right hand.
We did not choose the name Jabez, God gave it to us not to  preach in the pulpit but to go to the market place and teach kingdom principles with emphasis on prayers ,living wisdom and the power of God.

JABEZ DISCOVERED GOD AMONG HIS GENERATION.
In Gen. 1 – God is mentioned 30 times out of 31 verses.  If you want to know about the nature of God, His origin, His character – Read Genesis chapters one and  two.  God is an error-less, most powerful master craftsman, designer and planner.  The creation of the earth brings Him closer to us as a touchable person.  God thinks, plans, loves and cares for what He made or created – God cares for us and He still cares.  In spite of the fact that God saw what He made as good – God decided to make, form and design man after his image.
